Doodle Baseball is the Fourth of July Google Doodle from 2019: a simple, timing-based baseball game you play in your browser. Google's Doodle team designed it so that a team of classic American foods (hot dogs, fries, watermelon, and more) plays against a team of peanuts. You control the batters; your only action is to swing at the right moment when the peanut pitcher throws the ball. Hit it into play to advance runners and score; miss or take a hittable pitch and you get a strike. Three strikes and the game ends.
The look and feel are cheerful and cartoon-like, with a backyard barbecue vibe. Fireworks, the Liberty Bell, and bald eagles appear on big hits, tying the game to U.S. Independence Day. No download or sign-up is required—it runs in the browser on PC, laptop, Chromebook, or mobile.
